C&F Finance is in the process of beginning floorplan services for its dealers. As a subsidiary of C&F Bank, which has been in business since 1927, this is a logical next step for full servicing to our loyal dealer base and to expand our commercial servicing to those customers at our bank.

 

Job Summary

This start up position will be responsible for overall business development, risk analysis of new accounts and recommending wholesale credit lines to senior management. It will involve routine risk management on the wholesale accounts and complete oversight as the segment grows. This position requires an entrepreneurial-type spirit with the ability to work independently. Career growth opportunities are high for the right candidate as this product is launched and grows over the coming years.

 

Responsibilities

  • Assist in development of processes and procedures around the dealer floorplan program
  • Possess knowledge of software solutions for floorplan financing
  • Ability to understand and perform detailed financial analysis on dealer and personal financial statements
  • Prepare and present analysis with recommendations on credit lines
  • Manage dealer accounts on a daily, weekly and monthly basis with the ability to identify risk factors
  • Communicate recommendations based on risk analysis of dealer activity, market conditions and financial stability of commercial customers
  • Conduct and/or oversee the floorplan audit processes
  • Safeguard the company by ensuring all documentation, loan filings and security filings are timely and accurate
  • Manage daily floorplan activity of commercial customers, including flooring requests, payoff administration and payment monitoring
  • Monitors and researches changes in the regulatory environment
  • Completes document reviews to ensure compliance with all applicable federal and state laws
  • Stays current on compliance regulations that affect our industry, updating policies and procedures as needed

Qualifications

  • At least five years of recent experience in dealer floorplan and commercial credit risk management
  • Experience with floorplan policies and procedures from beginning to end
  • Experience filing security interests with applicable agencies
  • Possess knowledge of the compliance requirements of applicable laws and regulations
  • Experience in commercial loan collection activities
  • Ability to handle confidential personal and business information with discretion
  • Thorough knowledge of financial statements, both commercial and personal, with the ability to evaluate risk factors
  • Excellent communication and reporting skills

Excellent communication, interpersonal, organizational, and computer skills are required. Strong intuitive, critical thinking, analytical and problem solving skills are essential. Must possess a strong attention to detail.  Individual must be a team player who works cooperatively with peers, employees, managers and other departments, along with external customers such as vendors, dealerships, customers, etc.

 

Abilities

Must be able to communicate effectively with people at all levels. Able to work independently. Able to understand the auto loan and wholesale industry processes and regulations. Able to multi-task and work in a fast paced environment with deadlines and performance standards. Able to present accurate mathematical calculations. Thorough understanding of the compliance aspects of the floorplan industry. Ability to maintain the highest level of confidentiality. Able to understand and explain both dealer and personal financial statements. Able to motivate and build positive moral within the team by setting a good example with behaviors and daily work habits.

 

Education

Business Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent relevant work experience required.
